Mafia - PC

It is 1930. Due to circumstances he couldn't possibly have predicted, Tommy's life as a cabdriver is about to be exchanged
for a life in the Mafia. At first he continues his work as a driver and nothing could be better. He soon becomes good friends
with his sidekicks Paulie and Sam, and although the work is sometimes risky, he earns more money than he did as a cabdriver.
But as time goes on he is ordered to undertake more and more unpleasant jobs – and he starts to become disillusioned with the
life he has chosen.

El protagonista de la historia - tu personaje - es Max Payne, un ex-policía de Nueva York que busca venganza, tras haber perdido a su esposa y su bebé, asesinados por una banda de delincuentes callejeros bajo los efectos de una potente droga sintética.
Max se ha unido ahora a las brigadas anti-droga y entro de incognito a la mafia, ocultando su verdadera identidad de policía, con la única intención de acabar con esa droga que se ha extendido como una terrible plaga por todo Nueva York, y vengar la muerte de su familia.
El juego está ambientado en una inquietante atmósfera urbana, siempre bajo la oscuridad de la noche, con calles desiertas, rincones oscuros y sirenas de policía que se oyen a lo lejos.
Armado con un variado arsenal de armas que puedes ir aumentando a lo largo del juego, debes recorrer las peligrosas calles de Nueva York y acabar con todos los enemigos que se crucen en tu camino.
Max Payne tiene características muy especiales que lo hacen destacar entre otros juegos similares: para empezar, la historia que se nos cuenta a fin de situarnos en el juego es al más puro estilo cómic, con viñetas y bocadillos.
El juego en sí mezcla acción (donde controlas a Max) con vídeos a modo de flashback que nos llevan de una escena a otra o nos dan más detalles sobre la historia.
Una de las características más espectaculares de Max Payne es la posibilidad de mover a tu personaje a cámara lenta, saltando de lado, mientras disparas a tus enemigos. Una escena digna de película de John Woo, y que también te recordará a The Matrix.
